(Installation of Pastor Jonathan)
(Left) Rev. Dr. Jonathan Kruschwitz

A native of Richmond, Jonathan completed his BA at William and Mary (Religious Studies) and MDiv at The Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (Biblical Studies).  During seminary, he was dually ordained in the Christian (DoC) and Baptist church traditions.  He then studied several years in England and completed a PhD in Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield.  Upon his return to Virginia, he served four years as pastor at Gayton Road Christian Church. In recent years, he has taught The Bible as Literature and Biblical Hebrew at local institutions, written for the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and completed a commentary on Leviticus and Numbers for Smyth & Helwys.

Some of the things that get Jonathan out of bed every day are mornings, maple syrup, Liverpool FC, biblical narrative and other stories about who we are, fluffy cats, running, noodling on the piano, listening to music, dark roast coffee, winter, and asking why.  He is especially grateful to live near family: his brother, sister-in-law, and two nephews live in Goochland, where his brother is a Baptist pastor; and his parents and an aunt and uncle live on the other side of the river in Powhatan.

Donna is a native of Alabama and a graduate of the University of Michigan.

She and her family moved to Mechanicsville in 1977.

Donna really enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
